Failure is Power Series
Stories of Setbacks, Doubt & Moving Forward
A conversation for young professionals and emerging leaders
Event 2
Date: 12 June 2026, 8:45am - 11:45am
Location: INSET by MAP Hotel, Nicosia
Not a talk. A live, slightly uncomfortable, very human conversation you’re part of.
What is this about
Failure is Power is a 3‑event series about how failure can stop being a private shame and start becoming a tool for learning, growth and more human workplaces.
After our first event on psychological safety and organisational cultures that actually learn from mistakes, this second event zooms into the individual level – careers, identities and the stories we tell ourselves when things go wrong.
We’ll talk about:
Jobs and roles that didn’t work out - or never really fit, even if they looked good on paper.
Wrong turns and “bad” decisions that still echo in how we see ourselves.
Burnout, rejection, layoffs and the messy reality of starting a new chapter.
Moments that shake our identity, confidence and sense of direction.
This is not another “motivational” speech.
We are done with this!
Instead of ending with another polished “and then I found my purpose” speech, we’re throwing the room into a fishbowl.
A few chairs in the middle stay open for whoever feels, “I’ve got something real to say about this.” You step in for a few minutes, drop your story, your doubt, your unpopular opinion, then step back out and let someone else take the heat.
The rest of the room listens in - no interrupting, no fixing, no LinkedIn‑friendly spin – just honest perspectives on careers going sideways, under a roof that can hold a bit of discomfort as well as care.

Who this is for
You’re a young professional who’s done “all the right things” on paper and still feels unsure, stuck, or quietly panicking about what comes next.
You’re an emerging manager or team lead who wants to lead like a human, not a corporate robot – and actually make it safer for people to say, “this isn’t working”.
You’re a young founder or entrepreneur who lives with risk, doubt and changing plans, and you’re tired of pretending you’re “crushing it” 24/7.
You’re a company who’d rather invest in young talent and emerging leaders who can stay honest, self-aware and decent to others when things go wrong – not just when the KPI slide looks good.
Join the event to:
Hear how other smart, capable people screwed up, hit a wall, or changed direction – and what they actually did next, beyond the glossy success-story edit.
Get brutally honest with yourself about how you show up as a professional and leader when things go off-script, not just when the slide deck looks perfect.
Realise you’re not the only one carrying “I should have known better” moments, quiet panic, or career doubts – and feel a little less alone with yours.
Leave with at least one concrete move you can make: for your own next step, or to build a team culture where people can speak up before things break.
